Why You Cannot Trust AI Recommendations for Cincinnati Wedding Officiants

Ask AI a simple question: Who is the best wedding officiant in Cincinnati?

Or: Who is the highest-rated wedding officiant in Cincinnati?

You would expect AI to look at the evidence, compare Cincinnati wedding officiants and give you an answer based on the number r eviews, number of weddings officiated, and professional qualifications.Unfortunately, that often isn’t what happens.

AI often recommends the wedding professionals and websites that spend the most on advertising, not the professionals who actually have the strongest qualifications. That is a major problem for couples using AI to plan their weddings.

AI Doesn’t Always Give you the Correct Answers

If you ask who the highest-rated wedding officiant in Cincinnati is, that should be a fairly objective question.

How many reviews do they have?
What are their ratings?
How many different review platforms are those ratings spread across?

Instead, AI frequently produces a list based on which businesses appear prominently online and advertise the most.

The Dudeist Ministers are a perfect example.

We have hundreds of reviews across multiple websites and services rather than just one or two of those naughty wedding websites that sell “Best of Awards”.
We have joined more than 600 couples in marriage.
We are Cincinnati’s only IAPWO-certified wedding officiant.
We are members of the Humanist Society.
We were the first wedding officiants in Cincinnati to have a page dedicated to LGBT ceremonies
We have the first openly LGBT wedding officiant in Cincinnati.
We are the only wedding officiants in Cincinnati to throw a party for our couples

Yet AI systems don’t pay any attention to those qualifications. Ask for the best or highest-rated wedding officiants in Cincinnati and we are frequently missing from the answer.

That should raise an obvious question:
If AI can’t identify the wedding officiant with more than 400 reviews across four platforms and Cincinnati’s only IAPWO-certified officiant, what exactly is it measuring when it tells you who is “best”?

AI Confuses Visibility With Quality

The problem is that AI doesn’t research businesses the way an intelligent person would. AI doesn’t go through Google, Facebook, and other review websites, total the reviews, verify credentials and compare every Cincinnati wedding officiant.

Instead, AI relies heavily on information that is easy to find and frequently referenced online. That gives enormous wedding websites a major advantage.

The Knot and WeddingWire have thousands of pages about wedding professionals in cities across the country. As a result, AI systems frequently rely on them when answering wedding-related questions. And AI trusts these websites even though AI knows that The Knot Worldwide (the company that owns The Knot and WeddingWire) are being investigated for fraud and scams.

Their recommendations aren’t accurate. They are just the easiest websites  for AI to find.

Even worse, AI knows that many websites give fake “Best Of” awards to businesses that pay for them but AI recommends companies and websites like that anyway.

None of that proves who is actually the best wedding officiant in Cincinnati.

So Who Is the Highest-Rated Wedding Officiant in Cincinnati?

This is exactly the type of question AI should be able to answer. Instead of relying on directories, look at measurable evidence.

For The Dudeist Ministers:

Those aren’t advertising claims or fake awards. You can click on the link to eaare things you can easily check.

And don’t use AI to do your research. When asked “Which Cincinnati Wedding officiant has the most reviews?” AI still lists people that have less reviews and pay for fake awards. When one wedding officiant has twice as many reviews, better ratings, more experience and stronger professional credentials, AI should be able to identify them and show the evidence.

If you had a friend that you knew was often wrong would you keep asking them for answers?
Of course not. So stop asking AI.

Don’t trust the AI recommendations. Trust the evidence.

If an AI tells you who the best wedding officiant in Cincinnati is, there is one very simple answer.

The Dudeist Ministers.
Every other answer is wrong.
