Love Stories and other things

A collection of good things we think will help good people

Going from “I do” to “I want to do more”.

We recently raised our prices at The Dudeist Ministers. Not because I need to buy size 15 “Back to the Future” hoverboard themed Hey Dudes, but because the cost of running our office and elopement space keeps going up. All the things that make it possible for couples to say “I do” in peace have gotten more expensive.

But this change isn’t just about keeping the lights on. Last week on my way to a beautiful ceremony I drove past a food bank with a line out the door. For days I have thought about how I can bring together these glorious, extravagant ceremonies I love doing, and the normal everyday people that need help.

The sad fact is there are too many people in our community without food, shelter, or love. So I decided HALF of the profits from our full-service weddings will go to the animal and human shelters we regularly volunteer at.

That means when you hire us, your wedding day becomes more than a celebration it becomes a small act of kindness. Your joy helps fill bowls, warm beds, and remind a few people (and pets) that they’re not forgotten.

Love is supposed to ripple outward, and now it will. Every “I do” helps someone else get a second chance at a better day.

(And if you are on public assistance but want to get married, please call to find out how we can help)
